Wow, that setup looks pretty wild! Either the installer was inexperienced or had an odd approach. Are the LED lights just white or do they change colors?

They’re remote-controlled, can switch colors, connect via Bluetooth, and even react to sound. Any advice on fixing it without messing with the cabinet?
@Tobin
You could try a hardwired LED driver that matches the power of the current plug setup.

Looks pretty messy. Ours are installed inside the cabinet with proper junction boxes. You won’t lose much space by using one.
Looks like they put in extra work instead of just running the Romex to the lights directly. Maybe they did this to make future replacements easier without needing to know wiring.
Cheap LED tape often fades in brightness over time. Trusted brands make proper junction boxes and plug-and-play cords that fit well.

Do you have any go-to brands? I’m looking for solid recommendations.
@Asher
Halo/Cooper, NSL, and Juno are all solid choices.
I would have placed the outlets and power units on the top shelf inside the cabinets or, if possible, on top of them.
Any ideas on how to fix this? The cabinets are already installed. Each light section is plugged into these visible outlets, but they’re all connected to the same switch.
Should I swap out the lights for a cleaner setup? Or could I just change the outlets to something hardwired and less visible?
What bugs me the most is that if I knew outlets could be placed higher, I wouldn’t have broken the tile backsplash with them.
Thanks for your suggestions and comments! If anyone can explain the best fix step-by-step, that would be a huge help.
There’s no space above the cabinets since they go to the ceiling.
