I installed canless LED lighting throughout my house. Originally, it was set to 5000K to match the existing lighting, but I recently changed them all to 3000K. Unfortunately, at 3000K, they all have an ugly green tint. Is there a way to upgrade just the ‘bulb’ part of the lights while keeping the existing junction boxes? I’ll have an electrician handle it, but I want to purchase the necessary materials ahead of time. It feels wasteful to replace all the junction boxes.
When you bought the fixtures, the light part likely came integrated with the driver box. Unfortunately, you’ll probably need a whole new set, as that’s how they’re sold. Look for fixtures with adjustable color temperatures so you can change the setting if you don’t like it.

I do want 3000K, but this particular light’s version of 3000K is just ugly.

You might want to try a different brand. I use RAB Lighting, and their 3000K doesn’t have any green tint.
@Whitney
Unfortunately, there’s no universal standard. I have two different brands of 3000K in my bathroom, and their colors don’t match at all.

That’s a good point. To keep things consistent, it’s best to use fixtures from the same manufacturer within one room.
There’s nothing worse than a green tint. You’ll need to replace them with better units unless you want to rework the LEDs yourself, which would be a massive hassle.

Can I use retrofits? I had retrofits before that had a secondary plug I didn’t use for anything. Is there a standard connection for this?
@Denver
I might be misunderstanding you, but retrofits are designed for canned lights. If you have canless fixtures, you’ll need to replace them with more canless lights.
