How can I make the light disperse less? I need it to downcast on the table more. The bulbs are 120v 60-watt filament. Are there better bulbs for this? Could I cover the fixture to make the light go down? thank you

A19 mirror reflector bulbs should solve it. Although it might just be too much down. Good luck.

The lamp needs a shade. Probably a lid as well.

It’s probably too ghetto for you, but get disposable coffee cups, cut a hole in the bottom of the cups, put the bulbs into the cups and screw them into the sockets. Will 100% do what you are trying to achieve, although the aesthetics may not be right. LoL.

@Ash
I am kind of giggling at the idea of walking into someone’s house and the light fixture over their dinner table has coffee cups bolted onto it.

I mean they could be from the fancy coffee shop.

Revisiting this post, I think silver crown cap bulbs could be the things this light fitting needs.

Silver bowl/half silvered lamps would direct all of the output upward, not down onto the table.

@Valen
Correct, but the outcome would be a good result.
