Looking for Lighter Spot Fixture with Framing Shutters for Tent Setup

Hey all, I’m searching for a small spot fixture similar to the Ayrton Diablo, but lighter. It needs to have framing shutters since it’ll be installed in a tent structure with limited rigging capacity. We currently use the Diablo but are hoping to find something with a lighter build. Any suggestions?

Hey, have you checked out the Elation Proteus series? I think the Proteus Rayzor is a bit lighter and still packs some serious punch with framing capabilities. Not 100% sure on the specs, but it could be worth a look!

Take a peek at the Robe T1 Profile. It’s designed to be more compact and might be a good alternative to the Diablo. We used it in a similar situation, and it worked well under limited rigging

I second the Robe T1! We’ve used it in a lot of tight spaces and love the framing shutters. Plus, it’s got a great balance between size, weight, and performance.

If framing shutters are a must-have, I’d suggest looking at the Chauvet Maverick Silens 2. It’s designed to be quieter but also offers a compact build and good framing options. Lighter than the Diablo, for sure.

Have you thought about the Claypaky Mini-B? It doesn’t have framing shutters, but it’s super lightweight and might be a compromise depending on how essential that feature is for you.
