Need Closet Lights that Don’t Die Fast—Any Suggestions?

Hey all, I’m looking for some battery-operated or rechargeable motion sensor strip lights for my closet. The overhead light just isn’t cutting it, especially behind all the hanging clothes.

Here’s the catch—I don’t have any outlets in the closet. I tried a set from Amazon that had good reviews, but they needed recharging every 2-3 weeks, and honestly, it’s a bit of a hassle.

Anyone got recommendations for a brand that lasts longer?

Battery-powered motion lights are always a pain. They’ll run out of juice way too fast. Ideally, you should wire them to the mains. If that’s not an option, try a bigger battery, adjust the sensor settings, or even use a door switch to turn them off.

I had the same issue, but not with closet lights…mine waas a lil different. Anywho…I found that LED strip lights with lithium-ion batteries tend to last way longer. Check out the Vont brand—they last me about 2 months between charges!

Have you tried Litom lights? They have solid battery life, and the brightness is decent too. I’ve only had to recharge mine once every 2 months. Worth checking out! IMO

Man, I feel you on the recharging hassle. I use Brilliant Evolution lights, and the batteries last ages. They’re not rechargeable, but I put in some good AA batteries, and I swear they last a few months.

Seconding the Brilliant Evolution suggestion! I’ve got them in all my closets. They run on AA batteries, but they last…so no need to recharge constantly.

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I really appreciate the feedback. :raised_hands:.
For the suggestion on Brilliant Evolution lights… I didn’t even think about non-rechargeable options, but if the AA batteries last that long…, I might give them a try too. I guess it’s about balancing convenience and longevity, right? Thanks again, everyone! You’ve all saved me a lot of trial and error. I’ll let you know which one works out best.
