Help! Need Replacement EL Panel for Old Luke Skywalker Lightsaber

Hey everyone!

I’ve got an old Master Replica Luke Skywalker lightsaber with an electroluminescent blade, but sadly, the blade snapped and messed up the EL panel (or whatever that paper thing is inside). It’s about 30 inches long and 5-6 inches wide. When the blade’s off, it’s white/silvery, and when it’s on, it glows bright green.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement panel to get it working again like it did originally? Any help would be awesome!

Yeah, those old EL panels are hard to come by nowadays. Maybe try some of the custom saber builders? I’ve seen a few offering replacement parts for older replicas. Alternatively, there are DIY kits out there if you’re feeling adventurous!

Saberforge is a well-known company for custom lightsabers. They might be able to help you find a replacement panel or even repair the existing one. You could also try reaching out to other custom lightsaber makers in your area or online.

Honestly, EL panels are kind of outdated tech. Maybe it’s time to consider converting it to LEDs? It’s brighter and more durable. There are tutorials online for the conversion, and the results are pretty awesome.

I had the same problem with my Anakin saber a while back. I found a guy on Facebook who does repairs for these, but it took a while to get the right size. If you’re lucky, someone might have a spare lying around. Good luck!

Hey! Sorry to hear about your lightsaber. You might want to check eBay or some specialty forums. I know a few people sell custom EL panels, but finding an OEM one might be tricky. Have you thought about upgrading to LEDs instead?
