Hey everyone!
I’m looking to upgrade the lighting in my place since the original developer went with some pretty mediocre options. I’ve got approximately 31-degree sloped ceilings in some areas, and I’ve got regular 4" IC cans installed (specifically Vulite V4ICW), which are set up as if the ceiling were flat.
Currently, I have some LED retrofits that use gimbals to point down, but I’m struggling to find high-quality ones that can effectively aim down given the sloped ceiling and existing cans!
I was checking out the Elco Koto system but I’m a bit worried that the adjustable ELK4129W trim might not angle enough. Do you think the back of the Koto module might hit the can before it reaches that 31-degree angle?
Here are my questions:
- Are there any other brands or systems that can nicely point down on a sloped ceiling with my current setup?
- Are there any other methods I could explore?
It seems like it shouldn’t be too complicated, but is this something I should consider getting a lighting contractor for? It feels like it might be a no-brainer for someone knowledgeable, but I’m not quite there yet.
Thanks in advance for any help! I really appreciate it!
