Hey all, I’m planning to build a rustic chandelier for my outdoor area, probably using Cedar wood. I’m thinking about using outdoor party lights for the lighting, but I don’t want to use string lights because of all the extra cable between bulbs. Does anyone know of a type of outdoor light that’s more of a “hub and spoke” style instead of a long string? I’ve tried searching but can’t find anything useful. Any ideas or suggestions?
If you’re looking for a more traditional chandelier look, you could consider using vintage Edison bulbs. These bulbs have a filament that creates a warm, inviting glow. You can find many different styles of Edison bulb chandeliers online or at specialty lighting stores.
Solar-powered hub lights might be a great option for your rustic chandelier. They often come with multiple lights attached to a central hub, and you can usually adjust the spacing between the lights to suit your needs. Plus, they’re eco-friendly and don’t require any wiring
Check out spider lights! They’re basically a hub in the middle with arms that come out, so you can hang multiple lights without the string in between. You can also adjust the length of each “spoke” to fit your space.
If you’re unsure about which type of light would be best for your outdoor area, consider consulting with a lighting specialist. They can help you choose the right fixtures based on your specific needs and preferences.
How about using a multi-bulb outdoor fixture? You could wire it up to hang the lights evenly from the chandelier, and no strings involved. You could even mix in some Edison bulbs to keep that vintage, rustic feel.
Hey! That sounds like an awesome project! Have you looked into pendant lights? You could mount several of them from a central hub and avoid the whole string light mess. Just make sure they’re rated for outdoor use. I’ve seen some cool DIY setups using old wagon wheels as the base too. Might fit your rustic vibe!
