Need Advice on Key Light for YouTube Studio (Budget: $350)

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into research for the perfect key light for my home studio. My budget is around $350, and I’m torn between the Aputure LS 60D and the Amaran 200x. Any thoughts or recommendations? I’d really appreciate some advice!

Hey! Both are solid choices, but I’d lean towards the Amaran 200x if you need more versatility with color temperature. It’s super handy for getting the right vibe in your videos.

The LS 60D is great for portability and has a tighter beam, which can be useful if you’re working in a smaller space. But yeah, if you’re looking for power, the 200x might be the better option.

Have you considered adding a softbox to either of those? It’ll help diffuse the light and give you a more flattering look on camera. The 200x with a softbox is :ok_hand:.

I’d go with the 200x, mainly because of the flexibility in adjusting the color temperature. It’s super useful if you plan to shoot at different times of the day or want to play with different lighting setups.

Honestly, either one would be a good pick. It might come down to what’s more important to you: portability and beam control (LS 60D) or power and flexibility (200x).
