Oceanfront Spotlights That Last? Looking for Suggestions!

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some recommendations on spotlights that can handle salt spray, heat, and the harsh weather that comes with living on the oceanfront. My current lights didn’t even make it 4 years before giving up! They’re installed under the soffit, mainly to light up the house exterior and pool area. Any suggestions on brands or specific models that hold up better in these conditions?

Hey! Have you checked out marine-grade stainless steel lights? They’re designed for saltwater environments, so they might last longer for you. A little pricier but worth it in the long run!

Try looking into fixtures with powder-coated aluminum. I live by the beach too, and mine have lasted over 6 years now without rusting or fading. You might also want to make sure you’re cleaning them regularly to get rid of salt buildup.

I’d recommend checking out Kichler Coastal Series. They’re designed specifically for harsh coastal conditions and have a pretty good reputation for lasting in salty, humid environments.

If you want your outdoor lights to last longer than a few years, brass is the way to go. Beachside has some great brass options, but they’re not very bright. HK can make brighter ones, but they’ll cost you a pretty penny.

Consider checking out Beachside Lighting. They’re based in Hawaii and known for their high-quality brass outdoor fixtures.
