Hey everyone!
I’m thinking of getting a chandelier with six candle-style lights, and they take E12 40-watt bulbs. I love the look of those warm, flame-shaped bulbs, but I’m wondering if that’ll give me enough light for my dining room. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!

Hey there! Six 40-watt bulbs should be decent for a dining room, especially if it’s not too big. You can always add some floor or wall lights if you feel it’s not enough.

I think it’ll be fine, but if you’re worried, maybe go with higher lumen LED bulbs that still have that warm, flame look. Same vibe, more brightness!

I had a similar setup in my dining room, and it was a bit dim for my taste, so I added dimmable LEDs that can go brighter when needed. Might be worth considering!

Depends on the size of your room and your ceiling height. If the room’s on the larger side, you might find the light a bit underwhelming. You could always add some ambient lighting around the room.
